Oakview Golf Club

Oakview, one of Butler county’s best kept secrets; a semi-private golf club located near Slippery Rock, PA, offers an excellent golf course at very affordable rates. At Oakview you will find a pro shop, driving range, 19th hole bar and a banquet hall for private events.

Originally a 9 hole golf course (current front 9) Slippery Rock Golf Course first opened on Memorial Day in 1928. Original course architect is unknown.

The course was sold in 1945, to a local golf course architect, Mr. Wynn Tredway. He recognized the growing popularity of golf and that an additional 9 holes was feasible. Over the following years, he designed and finished (present back 9) to complete the course you find today.

In 1957 Armco Steel purchased the golf course & adjacent park and renamed it Armco Park Golf Club. Their main purpose was recreation for their employees. This continued for 47 years.

In 2004, the facility was bought by ACC Holdings LP and renamed Oakview Golf Club.
