Lueken to serve on D2 ADA national board

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Slippery Rock University director of athletics Paul Lueken has been selected to serve on the Division II Athletic Directors Association national board of directors in 2018-19.

Lueken was selected to the board during the annual convention last week in Washington, D.C. and will be serving on the board for the sixth straight year.

In his role, he will will serve as the Atlantic Region representative for the D2 ADA Regulatory Advisory Group that works with NCAA Division II legislative staff to provide input on newly proposed NCAA legislation. He will be serving in that role for the third consecutive year.

Lueken is the only athletic director from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference on the board of directors and joins the athletic directors from Charleston (Mountain East Conference) and Stonehill (Northeast-10 Conference) as representatives from the Atlantic Region.

“I’m honored to continue to serve in my role on the D2 ADA national board and I look forward to another year of working with so many great colleagues across the country as we advocate for the Division II student-athlete experience,” said Lueken.

Lueken was named athletic director at Slippery Rock in August of 1994 and is set to begin his 25th year in that role in 2018-19.
