USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate in the United States, announced that Pittsburgh, PA will host the 2016 High School Northeastern Championships.

After two successful years in Portland, Maine, the 2016 High School Northeastern Championships will move southwest to Pittsburgh’s Slippery Rock University. Northeasterns will be held May 21-22, 2016, and will be hosted by Pittsburgh Ultimate.

“Pittsburgh Ultimate is thrilled to be hosting top-level high school teams from all over the Northeast Region,” said Pittsburgh Ultimate Executive Director Christie Lawry. “We are excited to be working with Slippery Rock University to ensure that these teams and their families have outstanding playing, coaching, and spectating experiences at Northeasterns this upcoming May.”
