Cooper’s Lake Dryland Sled Dog Race
November 12, 2016 - November 13, 2016

On November 12-13, 2016 the Canadian-American Sledders, Inc. will host a dryland sled dog race at Cooper’s Lake Campground in Slippery Rock. We are excited to bring this high-energy event back to Butler County.
What is a dryland sled dog race? This is how we race our dogs before the snow flies. The dogs pull wheeled rigs instead of a sled. There will be 4-wheeled racing carts, bicycles, and scooters flying around the 2-mile race course.
Racing starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday and will likely conclude by 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon (we have to keep everything moving so it does not get too warm for the dogs). The event is free for spectators. We have a food truck coming & some great items on a Chinese auction table. The event is family-friendly and lots of memorable fun; the only thing we ask in return is that you do not bring your family pet to the event. If any youth need community service hours, we have opportunities for that – just let us know! For more information, call Jenn Vallimont at 814-885-8051.
