Slippery Rock will host the 2016 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional at the Cooper’s Lake Campground Course Nov. 5.

Slippery Rock University and the Cooper’s Lake Campground Cross Country Course have been selected as the host site for the 2016 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships this fall.

This marks the fifth time in the last 10 years that Slippery Rock will serve as the host site for the NCAA regional meet, which decides the teams and individual runners from the Atlantic Region that will qualify for the National Championships.

The regional meet will take place Nov. 5 with the men’s 10,000-meter race beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the women’s 6,000-meter race following at 11:45 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women’s race.
